The 2011 Toyota Tacoma is the best selling compact pickup five years running. While some competitors, such as the Ford Explorer Sport Trac, are bowing out of the compact pickup segment all together, Toyota has expanded is presences by adding five new trims to the Tacoma line up. As with all Toyota products, the Tacoma’s overall fit and finish are impeccable, with tight tolerances between body panels, glossy paint and doors that shut with a solid “thunk”. The Tacoma’s bed features a protective composite bed liner that is both durable and light.

Both the four-cylinder and the V6 Tacoma engines feature Toyota’s VVT-i technology (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) that minimizes the compromise between low-end torque and peak horsepower. 2011 Tacoma Makes Debut at Portland Toyota Dealer

The new Toyota Tacoma has made its grand appearance here at Portland Toyota offering shoppers the convenience of affordability, safety, and style. The Tacoma is available in four different trim levels that will depict the price at time of purchase.

The Regular Cab, which is the most compact of the four models, starts at an affordable price of $16,365 and gives buyers a fuel economy of 21mpg city and 25mpg highway. A step up from the Regular Cab is the Access Cab, offering a rear access door that provides room for back seat passengers. The Access Cab starts at $19,655 and has the same fuel economy of 21/25mpg as the Regular Cab model.

The next in line for the Tacoma is the Double Cab. This roomier model includes a full rear split bench seat with a fuel economy of 19mpg city, 25mpg highway and starts at $21,865. Last but not least is the X-Runner offering Portland Toyota buyers 15mpg city and 19mpg highway with a starting price of $25,735.
